A Season For Silence

Folks have been wondering what’s happened to the Late TR Guy. Why no article last month? What is happening? Is it something we said? Do we smell bad? Are we giving off bad vibes? Does our dog bite?

Well, even if the answer to some of those questions might actually reflect on your personal grooming habits (and it doesn’t), the reason isn’t any of the above. In fact, I’m primed to launch off on a mod. The parts are in:

Sleeping Beauty Awaits Prince Carbs

The SU HIF44 carbs on order have been in for a month. The new intake manfold is painted and ready for installation on the TR8. When I do this I’ll probably pull the heads for a bit of reworking and put in a mild cam.

Of course, the trick is when will I do this? And what is the reason for delay? Oh, just the small ocean of 2x4’s appearing in our basement

Forest Of 2x4’s – Bedroom, Bathroom

Forest of 2x4’s – Music Room, etc.

We decided to completely finish our basement, doubling the room in the house. Although we’re not doing most of the work ourselves, I have been doing the sound/phone/CATV wiring – about 2200 ft of wiring total, and this impacts garage wiring, so I’ve had to work that too. This means no work on the TRs. Oh, where did the stuff in the basement go? Into the garage, taking up one of the places for cars and making the garage a cramped mess. This means no work on TRs. How much is this costing? Don’t ask, but it really means no work on TRs!

Oh well, at least the house smells like fresh-cut pine!
